At this moment in time we are well under way with the summer of 2012, so that means at the time of this release we will be looking back on a monumental year that saw the birth of 'All Over It Records'. What better way to rejoice the end to an immense year, with one more epic installation from the Sheffield star Adam S. Those of you fortunate enough to get your hands on a promo copy of this EP with have the satisfaction of playing these two big summer hits in your sets. It's been a small number of years since the detonation of 'What's Occurring', but now Adam is firmly back from a lengthy hiatus. The title track 'Distant' is a groove ridden, M J Cole style, funky master class in deep house music. Holding residences in his hometown with All Over It Records Adam says this helping him elaborate his artistic approach, with a deeper insight into his musical creativity which assisted him to produce this track. The B-side does not drop short; Adam once more has been catering up in his musical kitchen a bowl of futuristic pumping bass lines, catchy grooves and raw vocals.
