Vegas Nights
With the summer upon us, the boys of Soulsupplement Records have offered up a little slice of summer love with Vegas Nights. Bruno Browning and Swamp Donkey have teamed up again to co-produce this three track EP just in time for Brunos birthday, except in this case its you that gets the gift. The Master of the Minimal Groove and The Master of Minimal Funk kick things off with Vegas Nights (Original Mix), a lovely broken number with a dripping of funk bass line and so very sexy saxophone that will have you believing that youre driving down the strip at midnight with the top down (Were talking to you, Chris Cowie!). Next, the boys offer up Vegas Nights (Knotty Locks Mix) a more straight-to-the-point, four-to-the-floor cut that has most of the original parts with a little dreadlock magic from the dreadlock man himself, Bruno. This touch combined with a driving rhythm track makes this one a driver. Last, but most definitely not least, is Vegas Nights (Deeper Locks Mix). This track is just Bruno and Swamp Donkeys way of having a little fun with the Genre Police. They combined an electro-influenced drum track with the extra funky-layered elements of the original. You wont know if you should shake n pop or do the Double Dutch Bus with this one... but it works.
