As a strict hardware addict and a classically trained man with serious attention to detail, his sound is rich and warm in it's intricate textural array. Dark Trails is an accomplished sounding EP to add warmth to those dark, gloomy & frosty Berlin winter months. In this EP, Bachmann focuses on his more experimental side where the music is really telling a story and not trying to achieve anything preordained or formulaic. Bachmann's inspiration for the EP came after watching a documentary about human trafficking and the sex slave industry. With these heavy thoughts weighing on his mind, Christian felt a sobering dose of reality and deep, slightly dark, real music was the only sort of sound that rang true to his emotions. No stranger to Mind Field Records, Dark Trails is his 3rd exclusive MFR EP. With recent remixes from Applescal and Avus on Manual Music, Christian is really making his mark and we be sure that will will hear a lot more from him in the coming years!
