Cruzando Fronteras

Biography Pablo Alejandro is known as "The Gentleman of Bachata," because of his style. He captivates the lovers of this same musical sort through his style and charisma. But behind his charming smile Pablo Alejandro hides a peculiar history that contrasts with any interpreter of the Bachata music. Born in Uruguay, his first artistic steps were logically towards Tango, but the destiny took him to the United States at an early age, where he always demonstrated his passion for music. Residing in Miami, Pablo Alejandro felt fascinated by the so popular tropical rhythms of the Hispanics that live in this city. It would be necessary to say, nevertheless, that his greater attraction towards tropical music arose when he was a part of the "Clan de la Furia" of Roy Tavare, in 1990 and later he was a part of the group “Bom Bom.” Now Pablo Alejandro initiates his life long dream, which is the launching of his first album as a solo, at the hand of Roy Tavare, who has been important in his career. Although anyone could fear to the reaction of the originators of the Bachata, Pablo Alejandro feels certain about the path he has chosen and of who is launching his career. “My idea is not to compete with anybody; I respect and admire those artists who interpret the Bachata music. I have my own style, and am true in what I interpret because I like this genre of music very much.” reveals the Artist. “Cruzando Fronteras” is the title of this first album, being “Mi Estrella mi Lucero” the first promotional song. Pablo Alejandro wants to touch the hearts of the public in general regardless of who they are or where they are from, but always recognizes that his greater challenge will be to conquer the heart of the Dominicans. "Obviously the most important challenge is that my music is liked by the people of the Dominican Republic, because it is their music", he states.
