Shane Halcon is an incredibly talented musician and producer in the modern electronic market. One half of the former duo comprising of First State, Shane has a musical sensibility that borders along the more hypnotic, melodic trancy route. For that, he has come up with a three track EP which encapsulates this stylistic approach. Siberia is a piano laden emotional journey and it has hints of Paul Keeleyesque epicness attached to it. South Beach has a very classic type sound as well with a more club oriented headspace, and Talamanca is light & fun with a sharp breakdown. Definitely a release for those who prefer things along that classic style but reborn with a fresh face, and keep an eye for Shane in the coming year as he has lots of great material about to be released.
