The altoist is the lead voice in a quartet comprised of cellist David Baker and both Brent McKesson and Kent Brinkley on basses, coming up with eccentric melodies and sound explorations on four of his originals. This is a worthy effort that is innovative in its own way although not recommended to listeners who feel that bebop is "modern jazz."
