Editorial Reviews Taka Boom really sounds great in this set of 80s grooves, tunes recorded in the middle part of the decade, but with some of the leaner styles of a few years before, that near-perfect blend of beats and keyboards that sums up early 80s soul at its best. Taka's vocals have a strong sense of force here, but are never too over the top, just right in line with the punch in the rhythms, and a bit of a change from her disco years.
