Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli is considered one of the greatest and most important pianists of the 20th century. But in spite of his importance the number of recordings he left behind is quite small. Being an excentric perfectionist he turned down many recording occasions that from his point of view would not result in a perfect performance. Benedetti Michelangeli was a connoisseur of the mechanics of the piano and he insisted that his concert instruments be in perfect condition. Whenever possible he took his own Steinway piano with him on tour. Happily the recordings we have of Bendetti Michelangeli are musically among the very best of their genre. The present album shows the artist in different recording situation: Live at Warszaw Philharmonic Hall as solist and with symphony orchestra in studio in London. That's why this album has been called "Recital Warszaw-London". All tracks have been carefully remastered in 24 Bit High Definition.
