Only Wyatt could sing Cutler's staunch, impressionistic lyrics and wring out some emotion. And as if in response, the music jumps and plays, taking in Eastern polka-isms, and up-tempo folk dance rhythms. Even the slower songs feature punchy keyboard and accordion arrangements. "Dark Matter," "Banknote," and "Waited/Justice" are all fine songs that blend the experimental with the melodic.
