The song was written and demoed for Porcupine Tree prior to the band recording In Absentia, but was dropped quite early on and never recorded by the band because it didn't fit in stylistically. A different interpretation of the song, titled "Lullaby", was included on the first Blackfield album in 2004 and the coda section was adapted into the short instrumental track "Twilight Coda" on Steven Wilson's solo album Insurgentes in 2008. The version included on this CD is the original demo from 2001.
