The Betrayed is the fourth studio album by the Welsh alternative rock band Lostprophets. Although the band initially wished to record a quick follow-up to 2006's Liberation Transmission, problems with labels and producers led to many delays. Consequently, the album was not completed until July 2009, after an album's worth of material was recorded in 2007 and scrapped by the band. Tracks from the album have been performed live since 2007.
