The song is featured on the soundtrack of the film Step Up Revolution. The song was released as the first single from the album, preceding Timbaland's "Hands in the Air". "Feel Alive" is the first track to be recorded by Fergie, aside from her projects with The Black Eyed Peas and Slash since her debut studio solo album, The Dutchess, which was released in 2006.
