Ziggy Marley
雷鬼乐大师Bob Marley的儿子、三届格莱美奖得主雷鬼乐明星Ziggy Marley。 Ziggy Marley被称为“雷鬼之子”，早在十几岁时出道，在其父、雷鬼乐大师Bob Marley的引领下，与几个兄弟姐妹合组了家族乐队The Melody Makers，多年来他们的音乐风靡拉美和欧洲。在做了二十年坚实的原创、数次获得格莱美奖之后，Ziggy在2003年发行了首张个人专辑《Dragonfly》，合作艺人包括红辣椒乐队等知名艺人，同时，他还为《鲨鱼故事》、《初恋50次》等电影制作了原声音乐。而在前不久刚刚结束的49届格莱美上，他以个人专辑《Love Is My Religion》再次获奖。 来自牙买加Kingston的Ziggy第一次进录音棚是跟他那善于改造传统父亲一起，当时他才10岁。随后他与三个兄弟姐妹一起组成了The Melody Makers，将他热情的嗓音融合到曼妙的布鲁斯，R&B，嘻哈和雷鬼音乐中。 在The Melody Makers（由兄弟Stephen姐妹Sharon和Cedella一起组成的乐队，三次获得格莱美奖）背后做了二十年坚实的创作原动力之后，Ziggy在2003发行了个人首张大碟《Dragonfly》（RCA Victor Group），其中，与之合作的艺人有Flea，John Frusciante(呛红辣椒)，Mike Einziger和DJ Kilmore(Incubus)。他还为许多电影做原声，如《50 First Dates》（初恋50次）和《Shark’s Tale》（鲨鱼故事）。在《Shark’s Tale》中，他第一次献声，为一条名为Bernie的牙买加水母配音。 《Love Is My Religion》 提名最佳雷鬼专辑 洛杉矶, CA (2006/12/7) – 荣获三次格莱美殊荣的歌手/作曲家Ziggy Marley的第二张个人大碟《Love Is My Religion》(Tuff Gong Worldwide)再次提名格莱美。专辑获得的是Best Reggae Album(Vocal or Instrumental)提名，将于Buju Banton, Matisyahu, Sly & Robbie以及UB40竞争该奖项。德将情况将于2007年2月11日星期日在洛杉矶的Staples Center举办的第49届格莱美颁奖典礼上公布。 除了作为歌手，作曲家和制作人的艺能外，Ziggy自己成立了U.R.G.E.一个关心帮助牙买加，埃塞俄比亚等第三世界国家的儿童事业的非营利慈善机构。最近他支持了青年预防艾滋病的活动。 Ziggy的父亲：出生自牙买加的Bob Marley和他的乐团the Wailers可谓雷鬼乐(Reggae)的鼻祖。上世纪70年代，雷鬼乐成功流传到美国，逐渐影响了白人乐手，在主流摇滚乐及饶舌音乐中经常可以发现雷鬼乐的踪迹。在BobMarley逝世后，雷鬼乐渐渐没落。上世纪八九十年代，一种融合了饶舌音乐及雷鬼音乐的新型态出现，为雷鬼乐注入了新的生命。BobMarley的长子ZiggyMarley，正是这段时间的代表人物。
