Siv Jakobsen
Siv’s music is beautifully mellow, much like diary-entries - filled with unfiltered thoughts and reflections. With strong references to the likes of Laura Marling and Ane Brun, she invites us to be a fly on the wall in some of her most private moments. Her most recent batch of songs were created in her old 6x7 “bed with a door” room in Brooklyn, NY. Siv’s first single “How We Used To Love” is a dark and ethereal track so cinematic and beautiful you’ll be hard pressed to not get completely lost in the song. It came to be while Siv was stuck in traffic outside San Fransisco - in an absent minded moment she drove into the car in front of her, which ended up inspiring the first couple of lines in the song. She describes the lyric as the most honest and vulnerable words she's ever written.
