Grey
An American singer-songwriter from Jacksonville, Florida, Grey grew up listening to all things soul, pop, and R&B. She attended Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, where she studied both singing and acting. She was still a high school student when she first performed at one of America’s biggest sports events and entertainment shows, Super Bowl XXXIX. Through that experience, she met her mentor, producer Deborah McDuffie-Doby, known for her work with Patti LaBelle, Janet Jackson and George Duke. That mentorship led to Grey being featured on a collaboration album for the group "Full Circle" which McDuffie-Doby produced. After high school, Grey moved to Boston, MA to pursue a degree in vocal performance at Berklee College of Music and performed widely all over New England. Deciding to pursue a solo career Grey went on to audition for the fifth season of the NBC talent show THE VOICE, and landed the last spot on Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine's team. Millions of viewers watched as Grey was praised for her performances of "Catch My Breath" by Kelly Clarkson, "Domino" by Jessie J and "Already Gone" by Kelly Clarkson.
