川島道行（かわしま みちゆき） - ギター、ヴォーカル 1969年8月24日生、岩手県出身。 血液型 - A型。 2006年11月5日に女優の須藤理彩と入籍。2007年1月30日に長女誕生。 中野雅之（なかの まさゆき） - ベース、プログラミング 1971年12月27日生、神奈川県出身。 血液型 - AB型。 回想Primal Scream揭竿而起的摇滚舞曲融合经典《Screamadelica》已是十四年前的事了；同样地，The Chemical Brothers把摇滚精神引进电音文化、掀动Big Beat风潮的里程碑大作《Exit Planet Dust》至今也都超过十年了。然而长期接受英语世界喂养摇滚乐而形成的史观所忽略的，在英美摇滚版图所不及的日本，其实约莫同时诞生了一组从创作到产能甚至是团名，皆十分重量级的队伍，叫做Boom Boom Satellites。 两位青年—分别是贝斯手兼DJ的Masayuki Nakano与吉他手兼主唱的Michiyuki Kawashima—在大学里结识，90年代末透过与Fatboy Slim、Moby同台演出的机会让人见识到他们(与固定客座鼓手Naoki Hirai)爆炸般的能量释放，成功征战欧美，99年的首张专辑《Out Loud》正式奠定他们的地位。如果说摇滚融合电音是因应时代潮流的护身盔甲，Boom Boom Satellites导入科技电声的方式无疑是更深入肉身而成为一套如金刚狼般的攻略武器，并且因为深受Miles Davis后期融合爵士影响，发展出英美同侪鲜有谁能及的即兴迷幻格局，成果于2001年的《Umbra》中便再次惊艳世人。Playlouder近期更大力赞赏他们简直是将Prodigy的《The Fat Of The Land》拆解加工做出比原来更好更强500倍的日本劲敌！ Boom Boom Satellites吸纳了90年代英伦独立摇滚舞曲精华，融会成强悍且自由、暴烈又迷幻的日式独门声响，令他们的全新大作《Full of Elevating Pleasures》一推出即犹如平地一声雷，不但日本版iriver立刻挑上“Moment I Count”作为电视广告主题曲，登上Fuji Rock大舞台，连《攻壳机动队》原作、日本机械后现代漫画大师—士郎正宗参展香港国际电影节超热门强片《苹果核战》(Appleseed)都指定专辑单曲“Dive For You” 及“Anthem”为原声带坐镇！如此沛然之不能御的态势，就要来袭！ The Tokyo electronic-pop duo Boom Boom Satellites paired singer/guitarist Michiyuki Kawashima and bassist/DJ Masayuki Nakano, fellow university students who first teamed in 1990. Taking their name from a song by Sigue Sigue Sputnik, they earned wide acclaim for their 1995 debut single Dub Me Crazy, a highlight of noted DJ Fumiya Tanakas Abstract Set One compilation; signing with the Belgian label R&S, in 1997 Boom Boom Satellites returned with 4 a Moment of Silence, followed later that year by the EP Joyride. They went on to perform at festivals such as the Glastonbury and Fuji Rock. Their full-length debut Out Loud appeared in 1999. The following years releases included their single Fogbound, which was used in the Ridge Racer 5 video game. During 2000, Boom Boom Satellites also worked on recording their second full-length.
