Anuradha Pandit, both acclaimed violinists, Kedar proved to be the rightful heir to the musical heritage and talent which the family had to offer. Kedar worked on his first film as a music director while he was 13 years of age. After this he never looked back and worked on over 350 different kinds of projects as a music director for last 30 years which includes Films, Albums, Commercials & serials. His work for the ‘spiritual’ domain in the music industry is epic as the list is unending when we try to recall music that has been appreciated and applauded all over the world. Kedar Pandit is also a recipient of the Mewati Gharana Purasakaar, Asthapailu Sangeetkaar Puraskar by Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sugam Sangeet Sammelan and Keshawrao Bhole Sangeetkaar Puraskaar(From Swaranand Pratisthan), Indian Recording Arts Awards  (I.R.A.A.), Shaniwar Wada Puraskar at Shaniwar Wada Kala Mahotsav for all round excellence in music direction. Tabla He is a very emotional about his performances and achievements as a Tabla player and he recognize the fact that while he observed success as a music director behind the curtains, Tabla gave him recognition and loads of appreciation in front of these curtain: on stage. He also acknowledges the fact that even his work as a music director is huge. The majority of people would still relate him and remember him as a spectacular Tabla player. He found his musical calling in Tabla that he learnt from late Pt. Shree Yeshwantrao Kerkarji of Ajrada gharana and then from his elder Gurubandhu, one of Kerkarji’s own disciple Pt. Shree Shreedhar Padhye. Starting at a very young age Kedar Pandit has shared stage with classical greats like Pt. Jasaraj ,Smt. Kishori Amonkar, Pt. C.R.Vyas, Pt. Jitendra Abhisheki as well as accomplished classical singers of the newer generation namely Sanjeev Abhyankar, Devki Pandit, Aarati Ankalikar Tikekar, Ashwini Bhide, Jayteerth Mewundi, Rattan Sharma, Shaunak Abhisheki, Sawani Shende etc. Apart from classical concerts, Kedar Pandit has also been part of the Light Music stage and Film Music, having taken part in live shows and recordings featuring artists like Lata Mangeshkar , Manna Day to Shankar Mahadevan and Sadhana Sargam. He has performed with renowned music directors like Naushad , Laxmikant Pyarelal, Uttam singh, Jatin Lalit, Shankar Eehesaan Loy, Sudhir Phadke, Prabhakar Pandit, Yeshwant deo, Ashok Patki, Shridhar Phadke etc. Kedar has traveled extensively across the globe performing at many prestigious concerts as also all important music conferences. He is an outstanding tabla player. Whenever I sing bhajans with Kedar’s accompaniment I go to trans. It is Kedar’s tabla making such an impact on me. Under his direction he recorded one devotional music CD sung by Sanjeev Abhyankar. It was released by me which was the first one under Kedar’s music direction. While releasing this album I came to know that he is a wonderful music director too. At the release function they started playing the CD and there was only tabla played by Kedar for a minute or so and believe me – immediately it impacted me in such a way that I found myself crying sitting on the stage in front of a huge audience and the entire media. Such is Kedar Pandit, a very promising music director under whose direction I also recorded some CDs. Kedar has fulfilled his parents dream. His father was a very good music director and a violin player and his mother is a very good violinist. This talented couple’s ‘Tapasya’ has been fulfilled by their son Kedar Pandit. He is happily married with Prachi and a son Neel. Kedar has also fulfilled his duties towards his parents. That is why he is Kedar Pandit today. His music composition is so powerful because of his parents blessings.
