Gli “Other Voices” nascono verso la fine 2002. Nel 2005 esce il loro primo album "Anatomy of a Pain", prodotto dalla Label romana: “In The Night Time”. "Anatomy of a pain" ottiene grossi consensi dalla stampa e web magazine del settore. "Ritual Magazine" (speciale dossier Italia) inserisce la band tra le più interessanti del 2006. La band, oltre ad aver fatto da spalla agli "El guapo", noto gruppo avant-rock americano, fanno da supporto a Roma ad una delle massime espressioni del punk degli anni 70: i "Buzzcocks" che insieme a Ramones, Sex Pistols e Clash hanno dato vita al movimento stesso. Nell'estate dello stesso anno, gli Other Voices suonano al "Blüthenrausch Summer Fest", festival annuale che si svolge a BERLINO. A maggio del 2010 la band è stata impegnata come supporto nel Live di Wayne Hussey cantante dei "The Mission" (ex Dead or alive e Sisters of Mercy). Nell’autunno del 2010 gli Other Voices iniziano la registrazione del nuovo disco “Beloved Child” in Inghilterra, precisamente a Liverpool, affiancati dal carismatico Francesco Mellina (ex manager Dead or alive) e dal vulcanico produttore “Yorkie” (ex bassista degli Space). I suoi lavori di produzione includono nomi come:Circlesound, Shack, Seven Seals, Ivan Campo,Space e molti altri. L’EP uscirà l’11.04.2011 in Inghilterra. Alle registrazioni hanno partecipato gli ingegneri del suono: Pat O'Shaughnessy, Simon Denny e John Withnall. Allo stesso tempo viene girato il video di promozione del singolo che prende il titolo dell’EP: "Beloved Child" diretto daMark Jordan. L'ep beloved child riceve molti consensi dai critici musicali e vine suonato su radio importanti come BBC radio - Cool rock radio (new york)- Amazing radio e molte altre. Ad Aprile 2015 ritornano in studio a liverpool per registrare un lp di 11 tracce. Questa volta scelgono di registrare nei Parr streat studio di liverpool (Coldplay, Paolo Nutini, Echo and the Bunnymen, etc). Yorkie produce nuovamente la band e pato ritorna come tecnico del suono. A Novembre 2014 continuano le registrazioni in Italia presso Artigianalsound ed il missaggio viene affidato a Francesco Sorace. Alla registrazione dell'album Partecipa Alessio Calivi, Polistrumentista e cantautore Molto apprezzato ("Forme e stati"e "Sirene, vetri, Urla e paperelle"). Il nuovo album "A Way Back" uscirà per l’etichetta romana RBL Music Italia (distribuzione Goodfellas) e sarà disponibile in CD e negli store digitali (iTunes, Spotify, Deezer, etc.) L'11 Aprile 2015 . "A Night Lasting A Year" sarà il nuovo singolo e verrà presentato con un video promozionale il 20 Aprile 2015. La regia del video viene affidata a "ONdigitalvideo". « “A Way Back” è come uno scrigno perduto e poi ritrovato, dove se ti fermi per un attimo e ci guardi dentro si può trovare tutto ciò che gli Other Voices sono, sono stati e saranno. Le atmosfere Malinconiche e disperate, nostalgiche e avvolgenti, tessono trame che rimangono sospese tra luce e oscurità, dove il bianco sconfina nel nero e viceversa, in una spirale senza fine. Con ‘AWB’ chiudiamo un cerchio iniziato quasi dieci anni fa con “Anatomy of a Pain”». OTHER VOICES. BIOGRAPHY Other Voices, who originate from the Southern Italian region of Calabria, were officially formed in 2002. In 2005,after playing on the local scene for sometime, they released an album titled " Anatomy of a pain". The record received critical approval and Italian magazine Ritual described the band as one of the most promising in Italy. As well as supporting the American avant - rock band El Guapo,Other Voices supported legendary '70's band The Buzzcocks in 2008.In the same year the band toured around Southern Italy and were invited to play at the annual "Blutenrausch Summer Fest" held in Berlin. Between 2008 and 2009 the band continued to tour around Italy and writing new material. In 2010 ,Other Voices enlisted the help of ex Dead Or Alive manager Francesco Mellina who arranged for the band to travel to Liverpool to record at the very popular Highfield Studios and be produced by ex Space bass player Yorkie, who has produced Space, Shack,Ivan Campo,The Drellas,Seven Seals and many more. In the same year Other Voices supported famous ex The Mission frontman Wayne Hussey on his first ever gig in Calabria. The result of the work at Highfield Studios is now available as a 4 track EP titled " Beloved Child" which is released on the 11th of April 2011 on Liverpool's label My Passion Records. Ep Beloved Child gains a lot of consensus from music critiques and has been played on important radios such as Bbc Radio, Cool Rock Radio (New York), Amazing Radio and many others. In October 2014 they will be back in Liverpool to record a new lp made by 10 tracks. This time they have decided to record in the Parr Street Studios in Liverpool. Yorkie is going to produce the band again and Pato comes back as sound technical. Mastering is commited to Kevin Paul, already working with Depeche Mode.
